Sofia is a lecturer in several photographic disciplines and Nihilsentimentalgia works as another teaching resource. Given her professional practice, education is a recurrent theme and her students are frequently mentioned. In 2018, Sofia finished a PhD on ‘Authenticity’. Therapeutic Photography is also a recurrent theme, for she practices art therapy as survival mode. She was founder and editor @ Propeller, a magazine dedicated to photographic expression (2017-2019). In 2019, along with some colleagues, she founded Tira-Olhos, an Association of Experimental Photography, where she now practices slow and cameraless photography.
