She is a researcher at the Communication Institute (former Cic.Digital-Pólo FCSH) at Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities at New University of Lisbon (Universidade Nova) and a Professor at Universidade Lusófona de Humanidades e Tecnologias. She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences (2010). Her current interests include the history and theory of photography and film, Visual Culture, Gender Studies and Semiotics.
