On November 11th, 2009, the then President of the Portuguese Republic, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, visited Torres Vedras under the pretext of celebrating the 200 years of the Lines of Torres Vedras. This set of images was captured during that day, at the location chosen for the event, Largo da Graça, in Torres Vedras. A visual reflection on the interaction between media mechanisms of power, historical memory and the construction and affirmation of national identity.
