Andy Mattern is an Assistant Professor of Photography and Digital Media at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater and his work is represented by Elizabeth Houston Gallery in New York. His photographs have been exhibited at the New Mexico Museum of Art, Silver Eye Center for Photography, Photographic Center Northwest, Lawndale Art Center, and Candela Gallery, among other venues. Mattern has received awards including Art 365 (Oklahoma), Artist Initiative Grant (Minnesota), and the Arthur Griffin Legacy Award from the Griffin Museum of Photography (Massachusetts). He holds an MFA in Photography (University of Minnesota, 2012) and a BFA in Studio Art (University of New Mexico, 2002).
