Productivity - Studio Rehersals
Productivity - Studio Rehearsals assembles a series of 7 performances staged by Ramiro Guerreiro in his atelier in Lisbon, and in the studio he has later occupied in Berlin. In each of them, the artist has set up a photographic device with a timer. Moving back and forth between the camera and the space of his performance, he alternately becomes the camera operator and the character of the photographed scenes. The sequences created manage, however, to produce the impression of a natural flow, in which the interruptions caused by the mechanics of the device disappear. Dressed in a grey lab coat, the character evolves among papers, cloth, ladders and cardboard tubes, in the workshop-like universe.
