(PT) A editora GHOST surge em 2011 da conjunção das práticas e dos interesses da fotógrafa Patrícia Almeida (1970-2017) e do programador/editor David-Alexandre Guéniot para dar corpo a projectos editoriais e a eventos programáticos. O seu nome, GHOST, é formado a partir da associação das palavras ‘Guest’ e ‘Host’ como polos entre os quais circulam e se trocam os papéis de ‘convidado’ e de ‘anfitrião’, ou seja funciona como tendência programática que visa estabelecer uma circularidade das relações autorais entre o artista, o investigador e o editor. Propõe-se publicar livros que articulam uma ‘política da imagem’, ou seja aproximações críticas sobre os usos e as condições de recepção da imagem, seja ela documental, arquivística, ficcional ou apropriada. The name GHOST is the combination of the words 'Guest' and 'Host' as poles between which the roles of the “guest” and the “host” circulate and exchange. This combination works as programmatic trend that aims to establish a circularity of authorial relations between the artist, the researcher and the editor. GHOST publishes books that articulate a “politics of image”, i.e. critical approaches on the uses and conditions for receiving the image, be it documentary, archival, fictional or appropriated.
